Abrar-ul-haq…..The renowned name in the world of modern singing.

ALLAH  has given human beings status of humane & bestowed all the items of universe for him. The man has been gifted by unlimited dishes, for which we should be grateful to him, which is an obligation to every human being just like. Allah had sent the poets like Allama Iqbal & the progressive poet Faiz Ahmed Faiz through the medium of Urdu in this world with the message of love, peace & brotherhood and to curb the evil. Like wise, the works of these two great poets of sialkot is carried forward by one of a young singer of sialkot…Abrar-ul-haq. Only the difference between these is that the former two poets of Sialkot spread the message of love,peace, equality & brotherhood through their write-ups while as Abrar-ul-haq decorated these write-ups with his melodious & sweet voice. This young singer walking on foot-steps of these two great personalities is spreading the message of peace, love, patriotism, which has also affected the people.
            This eminent singer of Pakistan has not only spread the message of peace & patriotism but has also made unique place in the minds of the social reformers of Pakistan as well. Besides, he is whole-heartedly trying for the restoration of Democracy in Pakistan. After making singing as his mission, he reached to the heights with in no time. After that he never returned back and remained active in mission & art of singing, as a result the number of its fan increased tremendously not only in Pakistan but also in South-Aisa. The music & voice of this young singer achieved all the heights with in such little time.
            This brightening star was born in 21^st of July, 1968 at Narowal (Sialkot), west Pakistan. After achieving elementary education in Gujrat & Rawalpindi, he did his graduation from Sir Sayeed College Rawalpindi, he did his masters degree in social sciences from Qaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad. He started his career as a teacher from Athesen College but Abrar wants to become a singer. His parents does not allow him to adopt singing as his profession. At last, Abrar,facing odds, decided to adopt singing as his profession. The sweet & melodious voice of Abrar attracted his audience. Basically, he sang all his songs in his mother-tongue Punjabi but he sang the songs in Urdu & English as well. He has proved his excellence in Bhangra, Pop & Folk music also.
            In 1995, he launched his first music album “Billo De Ghar”. The tittle song of this album became hit. In no time he became famous to such extent that one can not imagine. i.e his stars rose heights with the release of his first album. This first music Album “BDG” of Abrar was so hit that a record of one crore & 60 lac copis were sold. Because in the 90’s, in Pakistan there were dearth of good artists. The fame & popularity which Abrar got on his first album, encouraged him very much. He release his 2^nd album “Majajni” in 1997 after two years of the launch of his 1^st album, which too hit the stalls. After getting encouragement from the audience, he continued his works on his future projects with great zeal & enthusiasm. In 1997, Abrar released his another album “Be ja Cycle te” which too hit the musical world & 8 crore copies of this album were sold. In 2000, he release his another album “Mein Gaddi Aap Chalwan Ga” which was praised by one & all. His 4^th album “Asan jana Malo Mal” as usual hit the musical stall & 12 crore copies were sold like hot cakes. Besides these albums “Nachan Mein Oday Naal Naal” also gained popularity.
            Abrar-ul-haq sung some “Hamads & Naats” also. Popular Sufi song “Tere Rang Rang” are played through Pakistani T.V, Radio & F.M channels every day. In short we can say that the albums which Abrar released gave popularity to him are, 1. Billo De Ghar(1995), Majajni (1997), Be Ja Cylce Te (1999), Assan Jana Malo Mal (5^th of Feb,2002), Nachan Mein Oday Naal Naal(1^st June,2004), Nara Sada Ishq Ae (March 2007).Two completion & studio albums in which “Mein Gaddi aap Chalawan Ga”(2002) and “Sar Utha Kar “ (2010) are included.
            Besides the above cited Albums of Abrar, the songs which gave him popularity ae “ Jagga” with the collaboration of Gurdas Maan & Sukhvinder Shenda, “Pardesi Ho yo Ve”, “Maa” , some months back on the turmoil of Pakistan “Ke Karan de oo” , which was compiled with the collaboration of Jawad Shah Zaman, Nara Sada Ishq Ae, Kudiyan Lahore Diyan, Aiwen zulm na kar (on terrorism), Preeto Mere Naal Viyah Kar le, Parmeen , Patlo jayee, Jatt, Asaan teri gal karni etc are worth mentioning.
            After making good use of god bestowed capabilities, he achieved so many awards also. The awards & medals which encouraged him are, Best Folk singer Award in 2002, Best Pop Singer Award in 2001, Friston Music & views award, citizen excellency award & continuously for two years the most famous singer award, Prestigious award in 2005, the 1^st Humanterian Ambassador Award of Islamic conference etc.
            Abrar is in favour of India-Pak better relations. He loves the Indians particularly the people of J&K. He launched his 1^st album “Billo De Ghar” in Delhi in a Press Conference. On the launching BDG in Delhi, he, while speaking to Media said that India is a big market of music. He said that there is no difference between the people of India and Pakistan. He said that both the countries have composite culture & history & expressed the hope that, People of India will like “Billo De Ghar”. His album was greatly loved & accepted by the Indians. For the advertisement of this album he visited different cities of India like Delhi, Ajmer, Chandigarh & Mumbai. The Indian film makers too invited Abrar for his voice in their films. He sung & recorded a song for Sunny Deol’s film “Dil le gai ow Kamo ki dhar”; which was liked by the people of both the countries. Besides, he has bestowed his voice to King Khan of film industry Shah Rukh Khan’s some of the films. Abrar has performed his musical concers in the other countries of the world also.
            During an interview he expressed his patriotism as “ I can not hear against my country”. He said that “if I am given only a good news that the future of Pakistan is secure, I am contented”. In Pakistan he is popular not only as a singer & musician but also as a progressive & a political personality.
            The passion to work for the betterment of the Pakistani people & to make it a best nation in the world is filled in the heart of Abrar. To help the turmoil affected people of Pakistan, Abrar has established a Trust “SAHARA for Life”. By this Trust Abrar has helped Pakistani’s so much, which even a politician can not perform.
The image of Pakistani poor people is clearly evident in this poem. In the poem Abrar expresses his sympathies with the poor children of Pakistan & moulds the other people for the help of the people. He presented this poem to the whole world in the form of a song also.

He wants to mould the children on the path of development. He opposed those elements, who spread hate rid in the society. Abrar wants his countrymen to live with love & affection. He wants security to his fellow citizens so that they can live with peace & prosperity.
            Besides musician & social worker, Abrar serves his nation as a political leader too. On 25^th of Dec. 2011, he joined the “Tehreek-E-Insaaf “ Party, which is founded by the great cricketer turned politician Imran Khan. Before joining Imran Khan’s Party, he was leading the youth of the country under the banner of “Youth Parliament” an NGO. After joining the Tehreek-E-Insaaf, he is actively campaigning for this party & is attending processions and rallies. He exhorts the people of Pakistan to change the set up of the country for betterment. He is of the firm view that one day the reins of the country will come in the hands of Tehreek-E-Insaaf Party, which will leave no stone unturned for the development and prosperity of the nation.
            There are a few lines which he quote while delivering a lecture in a rally of the Party “ I first of all congratulate you that the revolution which we have imagined from early childhood, seems to become true. Thank God, I think the time has come when the party is going to achieve 2/3^rd majority in the coming elections. The Govt. framed by the party will be the Govt. of Justice, the Govt. of the real Pakistani’s. That will be not the Govt. of VIPs. That will be the Govt. of public, the Govt. of young generation. A few months ago I had held a rally “Pakistan Bachao”. I think that after Oct,30 2011, the situation has changed. In the rally two youth came to me & told that we want to do suicide. I told them why you are thinking so, in order to divert the attention of Govt. towards youth & will think for the youth. We have no employment. Perhaps the govt. will give some relief to our family after this incident & our sisters will be married. I told them you have turned mad. Never expect “feeding” from step-mother. Step mother will not tolerate your demands and aspirations. You will get nothing. You have to fight for your rights. I told them that I will help you in this hour of difficulty. Thank God, the “Tehreek-E-Insaf” party flourished & a ray of hope is seen. Today I understand through the party a revolution will be emerge. The Pakistan, which name is written in our & your blood, is disintegrating. See the writings on the walls of Balochistan. What is there written is that like 1971, this portion of the country will also Secede. This means that a sword is on my arm too which has already cut my arteries before it, my half body has already been cut. Oh my dear citizens, we have not to self ourselves. Now we have only a chance. God knows that another will come or not. Now we have to proceed with Tehreek-E-Insaf. Before talking good bye I will present a poem & wish you will accompany me.

 At last I will say that the land of Sialkot lies the fragrance of affection. Abrar-ul-haq walking on the footsteps of the great poet Iqbal & Faiz Ahmed Faiz, not only serves the nation as musician & singer but as a progressive leader shoulders the responsibility of being a sialkotian.
